"Brooke" (Heaven's Living Waters, Reg'd name) is a very small, very darling, very mischievous bichon girl, with HUGE expressive eyes, and I love her to pieces. She is almost too small for the Conformation Show Ring and her coat is difficult (to put it mildly) so I decided I would breed her (to Texas-born "Chance", Canadian Champion Four Oaks Heaven Rocks)and then finish her show career later.

Well, she whelped 3 pups (2 males and 1 female), but had some trouble and needed to go back to the Animal Hospital for an IV after the puppies were born. She was very dehydrated and spiked a high temperature with some pretty smelly discharge, and she was very sick. I think if we had not given her Ringer's Lactate Intravenous Solution by SubCutaneous injection during the night we might have lost her :-(

The picture on the left is the puppies at 3 weeks of age. The little girl - that I am hoping to keep - is in the center. The picture at the top shows the pups at 7 weeks of age on their first outing, being socialized at a baseball tournament. The ball players named them 'Bunter', 'Slugger' and 'ShortStop'.
